3 BOYS

Alright, I know, I've been slacking in the blogging department. But, I have seriously been so super busy with these 3 crazy boys! Benjamin is 5 months old now, and weighs over 20 pounds. Just like his brothers at that age. He's a very sweet baby who smiles all the time! His wild screaming, wrestling, throwing things, crazy brothers seem normal to him. The loud house we have doesn't bother him at all! He never cries when they scream really loud or get in his face and holler at him....Poor guy. Hopefully one day he will be bigger than his brothers and get them back!

Colton started school last week. He is going to the UCO child study center again this year. Last year, it was in the morning, but for the 4 year olds, it's in the afternoon. Up until school started, Colton was still taking 2 hour naps every afternoon, so it's been quite an adjustment. He goes to bed by 7:00 every night now, and wakes up around 7:00. He is still really cranky in the evenings. He goes to school only 4 days a week, so on Fridays, I'm going to have him have a "resting time" in place of nap. He LOVES his school! His BFF Drew is there again this year with him, and he couldn't be more thrilled! :)

Connor is starting to really have quite the personality! He has the funniest sense of humor, and is constantly making us laugh! He loves to antagonize Colton, which I try really hard not to laugh, but it's sooooo funny! His speech is getting better and better every day, and he's becoming more understandable when he talks. He absolutely loves Benjamin, but gets a little to close sometimes! haha

I love my boys!!!

Our newest addition

BENJAMIN LEE NEVITT!! He was born on March 19th, weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces, 20 1/2 inches long. We love him to death!!! I am thrilled that I was able to have a successful VBAC, after my 2 C-sections with Colton and Connor. I feel so much better recovery-wise this time around. He is a really laid back baby, and doesn't mind his crazy brothers screaming, wrestling, and running all around him while he naps in his bouncy seat. Here are a few pics...

Potty training

Seriously never thought I'd be potty training two boys at once, (to some extent). Colton has been day-time potty trained (diapers only at nap time and bed time), since he was 25 months old. A few days ago, he decided abruptly that he did not want to wear diapers anymore. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with Benjamin coming next month, or if it has to do with the fact that Connor has started the process of potty training. So, Colton flat out refused to wear a diaper for nap or bedtime, and lo and behold....he hasn't had a single accident (yet!). Isn't that weird? How can you just up and decide that you aren't going to wet the bed??? That's really his personality though. Once we put underwear on him at 24 months old, he only had a handful of accidents, and that was it. So, so far so good with Colton. Connor has decided that he wants to go in the potty all the time. He is 23 months old....I feel like it's kinda young, but whatever. Maybe it's the cloth diapers? Well, he's been going #1 and #2 successfully a few times a day in the potty. I'm not sure if I have the time for this with Benjamin coming so soon, but I don't want to miss the opportunity with either boy to get to the next step of potty training!!

I'm wondering how to approach Connor's situation? With Colton, we literally put undies on him, and that was it. Connor's a little different, and a little younger. Should I try the same thing? Put undies on, and stay home all day one day? If he's so interested, I hate to not jump on it!

AM I READY FOR 3 BOYS 3 YEARS AND UNDER??? There's so many developmental things happening with each kid! :)

Connor

So, since we've moved the boys in together, and Connor out of his crib, Connor has been sleeping so much better! He has been sleeping through the night without needing a "check-in" with mommy!! Connor's naps are also so much better! I wonder why?? Is it because he's more comfortable, or because Colton is right there? Well, whatever the reason, I am thrilled!!! Of course, I'll be up all night again in 8 weeks....

Preparing for Benjamin

So, I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and decided I really needed to start getting ready for Benjamin. I hadn't done a single thing to prepare for him! I don't need to buy any new baby clothes, and don't really need to do anything to the nursery, except get Connor out of it- So, this weekend, we set up Colton's room with twin beds, and moved the boys in together. Colton had been sleeping in a toddler bed, and Connor was still in the crib, so this was a huge change!!! Thankfully, it went smoothly. Well, except for finding Connor sleeping UNDER the bed at 5:00 AM.
